The members of this community embrace each other in a different way than I have experienced in other places. I have a sense of belonging that has spilled over to other areas of my life and given me courage. Outside of my immediate family and my Benedictine family, it is the place I have felt the greatest sense of belonging and being cherished for being me.

This is a safe place to explore who you are in community with other people. The weekly touchpoints help me reflect on my own life in community, which is different than reflecting individually. I could do a lot of this on my own, but doing it in community adds another dimension to it. Others reflect back what they hear, offering insights and connections I wouldn’t have otherwise gotten to.

I did not need to do anything to belong to the Light House community. That is maybe the most healing thing for me. This community helps me to be much more intimately connected to lived Christianity which is my and my family’s spiritual root. It allows me to integrate my Buddhist practice in a beautiful way with our deep shared experience as modern women.

I have a sense of belonging to a spiritual community here—that’s big for me. I never could say that before. If you are looking for a spiritual community, this is 100 percent the way to go. It’s not based on dogma but on love and compassion. I like to think of it like a monastery.

This is a welcoming, open space to hear stories, share stories, and do introspective work in a very easy way. The women are forthright, willing to share their stories and journeys. It’s real, true, and deep.

The Light House has helped me through a big transition in my life. It’s provided me with stability and safety and has helped me keep a pulse on my inner life. It helps me stay in touch with who I am.

The Light House is a place that understands, sees, and appreciates the spiritual. I’ve been praying for a spiritual community for a long time, and the Light House is the answer to that prayer. I’m seen and appreciated at a soul-deep level. This gives me confidence to be who I truly am in my community, workplace, and rest of the world.

Literally every part of my life has been impacted by the Light House. It has opened me up to see 1,000 facets of the Divine. This is a sisterhood where you can belong. When you bring your real self, you’ll receive kindness, compassion, grace, and love.

The amazing women here teach me that there are so many examples of what a journey of life can look like, and they’re all so different. Whether you come for everything or just one thing that brings you more groundedness or aliveness, come as you are. No one is expecting you to be or believe or profess something. You are who you are, and you belong because of that.

The Light House has become Anam Cara (soul friends) to me. And it feels like a collective of soul friends within a modern disbursed monastery. It’s become my spiritual home.

My overall spirituality—awareness and consciousness of it—has increased through the Light House. It’s provocative yet peaceful. I feel at home.

I feel like I can truly be myself and be accepted. I felt welcomed from the very first moment. There’s no worry of criticism. It’s allowed me to feel free to be myself.

I feel free to pursue my own faith in my own way, listening less to the expectations of others about how I ‘should’ be a Christian or communicate with God. There is endless inspiration from others about spiritual practices to try and resources to explore. I feel the permission and freedom to discern what works for me. It offers me a welcoming place for my questions, worries, and creativity among a community of wise, thoughtful, trustworthy, and beautiful women. It has changed my life.

I have looked for a group of people all my adult life who are interested in talking deeply about life and spirit. I had not found such a group until I joined the Light House. It is a safe place to express your spiritual and intellectual views. It models the Feminine Way of being in the world, rather than patriarchy. The Light House is a sanctuary for evolving souls.

The Light House been my lifeline, honestly, in a very difficult season. It keeps me accountable to prioritizing regular spiritual practice at a time when it often feels like a luxury I can’t afford. I’ve found my ‘people’ here, this space where I can sit among like-hearted women and learn from their wisdom, explore together, and trust that I am being held as I hold others gently and with compassion. It’s warm and welcoming, genuine, expansive, and deeply committed to moving at the speed of soul.

The impact on my life has been huge in many ways. I’ve learned finally how to be truly vulnerable, and to be held in that. It’s brought a rhythm to my life that a rule of life failed to do. It’s brought a ton of grace. It helps me remember the important things and relationships in my life, and it helps me shine my light.

The Light House helps me spiritually, emotionally, and relationally. It is a rare space to feel safe in the questions. It is a safe space to explore spiritual questions and understand more fully from the experiences of others. If someone desires an open forum to learn, grow, and explore, the Light House is ideal.

The Light House has been a consistent nudge toward my contemplative self, a reminder of the necessary beauty of nurturing her. There is a wealth of wisdom, safety, soul-enriching words, and activities to bring out the most gorgeous parts of your light and the deep well of you. No matter how, or how often, one chooses or is able to engage, there is a place, a belonging center, of Grace.

The Light House is the community I have been waiting for, probably forever. I cannot recall feeling so at home, even as I get to know people for the first time. It has given me a sense of place and safety as I work through finding the silence I need and growing in my own contemplative path. Regardless of a person's background, we learn from one another. There is unity and cohesion, yet utmost respect for individual journeys. It is a place to have both deeply spiritual and down-to-earth experiences.

When I'm in the Light House, I feel encouraged to explore and live my unique way of being and know that I am valued and accepted. This increases my confidence and sense of peace with my life and what I offer to the world. It also helps empower me to carry this posture into the rest of my life. Being part of a community that practices core values honoring each person's dignity, individuality, and worth make me feel hopeful about what is possible for humanity in this fractured world.

The Light House has greatly impacted my spiritual and mental well-being. It has been a resource for growth, support, inspiration, reassurance, and companionship as I navigate my internal and external spiritual changes. It's a place where it's okay to question what has always been—a place to get respite when you're on a journey and you don't necessarily know where you are going. It can be a waystation, a layover, a welcoming hut on the trail to stay and rest.
